This round is designed as a qualifying competition for students from Kazakhstan who want to participate in the Сyberspace Math Competition (CMC) . The CMC Olympiad is similar to the IMO - International Mathematical Olympiad and will be held this year for the first time. In total, 8 people will be qualified to the national team of Kazakhstan.

The first round of selection will take place on the MathForces website on Sunday June 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Astana time (2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Moscow time). Not only schoolchildren from Kazakhstan can participate in the Olympiad, and therefore participants from Kazakhstan must additionally fill out this form . The best 16 people (not taking into account the results of unofficial participants) will be invited to the second round, consisting of 4 tasks, where they will be given 5 hours to solve them and write in writing (the second round will be held on June 29 from 10:00 to 15: 00 Astana time). At the same time, according to the rules of the Olympiad, a team of 8 people must have at least 2 girls. If according to official results there will be a “shortage” of girls, then the team will be replaced accordingly (for example, if only one girl gets into a team of 8 people, then the next rated girl will replace the last boy in the team).

The round will last 2 hours on Saturday, July 4 from 20:00 Astana time (17:00 Moscow time) until 22:00 Astana time (19:00 Moscow time). A total of 5 tasks will be offered. In each problem, you need to enter one answer (non-negative integer number).
  • Everyone can participate in the Olympiad.
  • At any time before the first attempt, you can cancel registration for the Olympiad.
  • To participate in the Olympiad you need to click "Register for the Olympiad" on the page of the Olympiad. Before that, you must log in to your account (and confirm your email)
  • You have 5 attempts to complete each task.
  • Each task weighs from 100 to 2000 points
  • The faster the problem is solved, the less your penalty coefficient for this problem will be, that is, the faster you solve the problem, the more points you will get on it.
  • If the problem is solved correctly, you will be redirected back to the Olympics page and see the rating changes in the "Standings" tab
  • If the problem is solved incorrectly, you will see a notification and the number of remaining attempts will be reduced by one. After the Olympiad, the restriction will disappear.
